Capoeira is a great complement to a variety of combat and self-defence systems, including those doing Mixed Martial Arts.
Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) is based on the concept that an individual is able to defend themselves against a stronger or larger opponent—with the use of leverages, proper techniques, joint locks and shocks in order to control and defeat the opponent when the fight is brought to the ground.
BJJ is one of the fastest growing martial arts in the world and this is a great class for those looking to build their ground game but also a perfect introduction into self-defence and the sport.
This class is developed from the base of both Capoeira and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). It will help those who want to attain greater physical capacity for either practice or presents a perfect opportunity to cross-train. If you are a practitioner of one of the martial arts and haven’t tried the other this class will help you get fitter while trying something new.
This class is also suitable for fitness enthusiasts who enjoy different classes and who are interested in trying a new HIIT session that will be sure to raise your endorphin levels.
The movement class is an extension of both art forms (Capoeira and BJJ) as it helps take you through flow and mobility. Students will better understand their bodies and discover their natural flow in whichever martial art they are doing.
If you have no martial art background, this class is a fun way to explore the movements of your body and get more acquainted with yourself.

Music plays a big part in Capoeira and is deeply-rooted in Brazilian culture. This class will teach you the different instruments and basic rhythms used in Capoeira—and you will learn to sing in Brazilian-Portuguese! Learning music is a great way to pick up a new language and tune into the flow of the game.
This class brings you a mix of Afro dance movements with sticks (grimas) and interactive exchanges with other participants, making it a complete workout suitable for all ages.
